The cover artwork is a visual homage to pre-Columbian pottery designs found throughout the Panamanian isthmus.
I was responsible for both the custom illustration and the overall cover layout.
As the first Spanish-language book dedicated to the archaeology of Panama, "Mucho más que un puente terrestre" required a unique visual identity.
The author, archaeologist Juan Guillermo Martín, commissioned a cover that was both elegant and striking. A design tailored to differentiate the book from standard, conventional academic publications.
