The project began with conceptualizing a theme rooted in my passion for speculative biology, leading me to research a real exoplanet to serve as the scientific foundation for the life forms.
From there, I managed the entire production process: illustrating each species in my personal artistic style using a vibrant yet restricted color palette, handling the editorial layout, printing and hand-binding three physical copies using the skills acquired during my master's degree.
"En las Profundidades del Espacio" (In the Depths of Space) is an illustrated book created as my master's degree final project. The concept explores the speculative biology of the exoplanet TOI-1452b.
Featuring over 45 illustrations, the book visualizes potential marine life forms, fully embracing the creative possibilities that this alien world offers.
The book is accompanied by a companion catalogue, providing detailed insights into each of the illustrated species.
